🧡In recognition of World Patient Safety Day 2026, Victoria Hospital extended its patient safety commitment into the community through a CSR health campaign in Khayan Township, Yangon, with support from the Rotary Club of Metro Yangon and participation from the Myanmar Red Cross Society. Our multidisciplinary team of doctors, nutritionists, and pharmacists provided health screening, patient education, medical consultation, and medication support for people living with diabetes and hypertension.
💚The campaign included vital-sign assessment, blood glucose testing, nutrition and lifestyle counselling, doctor consultations, and medication dispensing with appropriate guidance. To support early intervention and continuity of care, 30 high-risk patients with diabetes and hypertension received complimentary specialist consultation cards for further assessment and follow-up at Victoria Hospital.
Through early risk identification, better understanding of disease management, safer medication use, and timely referral for those requiring further care, the campaign aimed to help reduce preventable harm and support safer long-term management of NCDs. These outcomes reflect the World Patient Safety Day 2026 theme, “Safe care for noncommunicable diseases,” demonstrating Victoria Hospital’s commitment to patient safety across the continuum of care, from prevention and early detection to treatment, follow-up, and everyday self-care in the community.
