For moms and dads eager to lovingly watch their little ones in the womb…

Watching and caring closely for our precious babies even before birth is a heartfelt wish of many parents as they look forward to their child’s future in real life.

To visualize babies inside the womb, advanced technologies have been developed over time, leading to the use of ultrasound imaging.

Ultrasound technology uses small sound waves to create images of the inside of the womb without any surgical procedure.

In Myanmar, 2D Ultrasound and 4D Ultrasound are the most commonly used techniques.

  • 2D Ultrasound produces black-and-white images that show the baby’s shape on a flat screen.
  • 4D Ultrasound, on the other hand, provides clear, three-dimensional moving images, allowing parents to see the baby’s face, eyes, nose, mouth, and movements in real time. This is a more advanced ultrasound technology.

The purpose of 4D Ultrasound is to excitedly observe and estimate the baby’s health status, development, and different positions in the womb.

For mothers between 26 and 30 weeks of pregnancy, having a 4D Ultrasound scan can:

  • Allow viewing of the baby’s adorable face in video format
  • Hear the baby’s heartbeat to check heart health
  • Detect cleft lips or palate, if present
  • Determine if the baby’s limbs are fully developed
  • Monitor normal or abnormal fetal development
  • Confirm the baby’s size and position
  • Assess amniotic fluid levels

Located in a convenient area of Yangon, Victoria Hospital warmly invites expectant parents to visit and experience clear and precise 4D Ultrasound results, performed by experienced radiologists using modern equipment.

Appointments for 4D Ultrasound scans can be made by calling the phone numbers below at least one week in advance.
