This disease can become severe, especially in children, and may even become life-threatening if not treated properly.

📌 According to the Ministry of Health’s 2023 report, there were over 16,000 cases of dengue fever in Myanmar, with the highest numbers reported in five regions, including Yangon Region.

⚠️ If your children develop a fever, it’s important to watch for the early warning signs of dengue fever and seek immediate medical attention if necessary. Be aware of the following warning symptoms:

❗️Unusual drowsiness or sleepiness
❗️Severe fatigue or sluggishness
❗️Nosebleeds or bleeding from the gums
❗️Vomiting brown or dark-colored liquid (similar to coffee grounds)
❗️Stomach pain or abdominal cramps
❗️Red spots or rash appearing on the body
❗️Cold hands and feet
❗️Blood in urine or stool
❗️Inability to urinate

⚠️ The period between the first day of fever to around the 3rd to 7th day is a critical time during which parents need to pay close attention to their children’s health.

⚠️ In addition, if any of the above symptoms appear, we strongly advise you to take your child to the nearest hospital or clinic immediately to receive the necessary medical treatment.
