Key Responsibilities
Equipment Management & Compliance
- Maintain and update the hospitalโs medical equipment inventory, including asset codes, summaries, and departmental store records.
- Plan, schedule, and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Calibration Programs for all medical devices.
- Ensure JCIA compliance by collaborating with Quality Control on department policies, service improvements, and audit readiness.
- Document all maintenance activities (preventive/corrective) accurately in digital systems. – To keep the hard copy record for the completed document for the repair work of ME also.
Technical Support & Repairs - Address equipment user complaints and perform Corrective Maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with supplier engineers for repairs, calibrations, and maintenance per hospital contracts.
Procurement & Administration - Prepare and process purchase requests, capital expenditure proposals, and service requisitions via the Supply Chain Department.
- Maintain digital records of all procurement and service activities.
Training & Collaboration - Train clinical staff and technicians on equipment operation, safety protocols, cleaning/disinfection procedures , and basic troubleshooting.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Nursing, Surgery, ICU) to ensure equipment meets clinical needs.

Bachelorโs degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 2 yearsโ experiences in biomedical engineering, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Familiarity with JCIA standards or similar healthcare accreditations (advantageous).
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and data management.
Experience with medical equipment database system
Knowledge of surgical/imaging equipment (e.g., angiogram, laparoscopy) is a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong organizational skills
to manage PM schedules and documentation.
Excellent communication abilities
for liaising with clinicians, vendors, and departments.
Problem-solving aptitude
for rapid response to equipment failures.
